The Garden Club welcomes Arzeena Hamir, Agrologist as our special guest speaker. Arzeena is a food security activist, mother of 2 girls, concerned global citizen, owner of @AmaraFarm in the Comox Valley.
Helena Gazdik, club member and entomologist will discuss pollinators with a focus on native bees and planting for them.
We welcome Connie Kuramoto who will be speaking on the topic of permaculture approaches to more resilient gardens.
It is the start of the season and we have our first garden tour. Lori, a new member, is welcoming us to her garden. Lori has taken out all the grass in her front garden and turned the barren ground into a pollinators dream.
